Messages To Japan began from a desire to help the people affected by the natural forces in Japan that devastated so much of their lives. Not being in Japan but still desperate to offer some form of help, the idea to collect messages of hope for the affected people came up and it moved from there to collecting these messages from various people in various locations from the children in a local school to the person walking the street. Although many are hesitant to write down something, feeling perhaps that their words didn't measure up to the scale of the events, many people instantly produced heartfelt and beautiful messages that were moving to read.
There are many ways to help people in Japan, and even if you haven't got money to give or aid to send, a simple message of hope can be worth a lot more than it seems. Please send a message and it will go online as soon as possible after we receive it.
